low-sugar, low-carb strawberry adaptogenic smoothie

Confession: I totally wrote this for Valentine's Day, and while I definitely posted it on Insta, I figured I'd share some more deets here. Because this smoothie is honestly the best smoothie I've made like...ever.

So here's the thing about smoothies. I've always loved them — the first few blog posts on this blog and my first few Instagram posts are pretty much all smoothies; basically to the point where people asked me if I was vegan. But as great as smoothies taste when you buy them, they usually contain 90% banana.

That's all fine (unless you're like my friend Christina, who hates bananas), especially after a workout, but some people (me) are sensitive to that crazy sugar-overload. Plus, there are so many more fun things to put into smoothies than bananas!

On another note, I've been obsessed with the local brand Nutty Life's strawberry banana cashew milk. I had the honor of meeting the founder, Caroline, for coffee the other day and she gave me a bottle. It kickstarted my strawberry craving for basically all of February.

So this baby was born. It's veggie-packed, low-carb (for those of who are into a low carb breakfast or are keto), and low-sugar, but still tastes pretty damn delicious. Because that's what matters most!

P.S. This is thiccccc (yes, all the "c"'s are necessary). AKA perfect for adding a ton of toppings on it and eating with a spoon. Go wild.
